Happy Birthday Tri-fold Card

My mother-in-law's birthday is today so I made her this card. She likes to display the cards around the house so I thought this tri-fold design would work perfect. If you just Google for this type of card, you can watch Youtube videos to learn how to make a tri-fold card.
Hope she likes it!

Wedding Card--Happy I Do Day

Finally the wedding card that went with the mini album. I found the front cover idea on Pinterest.
I knew I was going to give cash or a gift card so I wanted a pocket center. I took an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock and scored down the center at 4 1/4, turn the cardstock and score the center at 5 1/2.  With the cardstock facing you in the horizontal (landscape) position, I cut the top left 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 piece from the cardstock and folded the bottom left remaining piece to the inside of the card. I made a diagonal cut keeping a little extra to allow for the decorative lace punching. Adhere the bottom to form the pocket. The top right 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 piece folds down to become the front of the card. Added a gem on the diamond ring. There you have it!

Honeymoon Mini Scrapbook continues--back cover and goodies

Goodies--I decided I didn't want to label pages so that they can put whatever pictures they wanted on whatever pages so I decided to send them a baggie full of printed sayings. They can add the sayings wherever they want. If you are interested in seeing the file, just email me.
Here's the back cover.

Honeymoon Mini Scrapbook continues--page 5

Page 5--The last page of the book. This page is folded just like the Silly Monkey page. The couple are certified scuba divers and I believe they are planning to dive while in Florida so I thought this page might be appropriate. Another paper find from Hobby Lobby.

Honeymoon Mini Scrapbook continues--page 4

Page 4--Is an envelope that I sealed shut to form a pocket. I made a note for them to let them know that this is a place to put ticket stubs, receipts, etc. into. I labeled it "Stuff." It's a different size than all the other pages, but I kind of liked that.
I just put a photo mat on the back of the envelope.

Honeymoon Mini Scrapbook continues--page 3

Page 3--You have to know my nephew, to know that this page will work perfectly for him. When I saw the paper, Silly Monkey, in Hobby Lobby, I just had to have it for him.
Here is another 12 x 12 piece of paper folded to form a small pocket where a tag can fit and then the big pocket for other photo mats and journaling pieces. A wonderful artist, Laura Denison, has the tutorial at this link http://www.lauradenisondesigns.com/magic-fold-mini-album-tutorial/
I just made the individual pages and folded the page back on itself. So there is some difference from the tutorial. By folding the page back on itself, I made a pocket at the top. I adhered the bottom shut and with the binding on the side forms the pocket. Let me know, if you have any questions.

Honeymoon Mini Scrapbook continues--page 2

Onto page 2--another 12 x 12 piece of designer series paper. I scored at 6" going both directions.
I cut out one of the 6" squares. Here is the page all opened up. The top flap lifts up and the right flap flips open like a page in a book. I matted the areas and left room for journaling.
I folded the right page back in to reveal the back of that page. Again some photo mats and a little area for some journaling. I didn't adhere the journaling piece down so that they can slip a picture behind the darker brown paper and then adhere.
This is the back of the page. I made a pocket to put photo mats in and some more journaling options. There are a lot of places to put photos on this page.
Let me know, if you have any questions.

Honeymoon Mini Scrapbook continues--page 1

This is the inside cover. I made it into a pocket so several tags and photo mats could be added. You'll see some journaling pieces throughout the book. I just found them already made online and printed them on white cardstock. Pretty simple.
Page 1

This page is made from one piece of 12 x 12 designer series paper. You score at 3 3/4 and 7 1/2. Turn the paper and score at 6" on the other side. You form a Z fold on the 3 3/4 and 7 1/2 in. side. Fold in 1/2 on the 6" fold. You can trim the top if the folding didn't perfectly line up. I left mine at the 6 inches. There is a cut to make on the 6" score line. It is hard for me to explain so here is an excellent video that shows how to make the page. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWripCy_Pzk
This should explain everything. Let me know, if you have any questions.

Josh & Lacey's Honeymoon Mini Scrapbook

I'm finishing up a mini scrapbook for my nephew that will be married tomorrow, July 20. They are planning a honeymoon trip to Fort Lauderdale so I put a beach paper on the front cover. I'm hoping to see the mini when they are back and have a chance to put their pictures in it. I've also included a picture of the charms I made for them.  The book is 6 x 6 inches. I'll show more of the pages in the next few days, if you are interested. If you have any questions about something, just email me.

Love & Sympathy 2

I have other family members to send sympathy cards to so I made a different card for the grandparents of yesterday's post. God's blessings on the healing process as the funeral is today.

Love & Sympathy

I really don't enjoy making sympathy cards, especially when I'm making them to send to someone. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family that lost their 17 year old daughter in a car accident. My daughter is the same age and I couldn't imagine losing her.
