Papillon Potpourri
I decided to go back to the Papillon Potpourri stamp set. Such an easy card when you have the coordinating punch, Elegant Butterfly, that goes with the stamp set. I ordered the smaller punch found in the Spring catalog that corresponds with the small stamp butterfly image in the same set and can't wait to get it in the mail.
The strips of designer series paper are 1 1/2 inches wide and 3 inches long. The strips are placed in the butterfly punch and cut at different intervals on each of the strips. The ink colors are Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry, and Baja Breeze. The designer series paper is free through the Sale-a-bration promotion.

Hearts a Flutter
Here's another card using the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and coordinating framelits. I really like the Bundle deals that Stampin' Up has to offer.
The Secret Garden Bundle is another set I'm eying in the Spring catalog. It's on page 17. There are just too many items I like in the Spring catalog. What have you ordered from the catalog? I'd love to hear from you.

Two Pocket Treat Bag
This is the last project that the ladies made at the January stamp club. The two pocket treat bag is a combination of several scores and folds. No adhesive is used.
The other pocket, on the back, holds a fun size package of m & ms.

Hearts a Flutter
Here is a very simple card that we made at stamp club using the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and coordinating framelits. The Stampin' Up spring catalog has so many neat things, it was hard to pick out what to buy.
I had a couple versions that are pretty much the same, but just a little difference in ribbon, sponging, and scoring on the card.

January Stamp Club
I have just a short time before getting back to the next ball game to continue taking pictures. I'll start with a couple of the projects we made at stamp club last night. There are actually four projects so I will share two today and the others hopefully over the next couple days.
I saw the idea of the Scratch-off Valentine card on the Better Homes & Garden website. If you mix 2 parts metallic paint with 1 part liquid dish soap, paint contact paper, and let dry. I applied a second coat to fully cover the contact paper. Cut the hearts out and write messages on the base of the card before attaching the hearts over the messages. They suggested sending a penny with the card so they could scratch-off the heart of their choice. Some of the ladies had some very creative messages to put under the hearts. My husband will even like this card. Don't get all crazy on me. Some of the suggestions were a batch of cookies, brownies, a hug, a kiss, candy, love you always, etc. You get the idea.
My printer at home isn't very good so the print isn't the best. Under the "Are you lucky in LOVE?" is a message to (scratch off a heart and find out).
One other quick project was a fortune cookie. I had the ladies die cut a 3 1/2" circle of designer series paper and the site that I found this idea on had a whole list to print of fortunes to go inside of the cookies.
I thought it was a fun idea! Better go. Let me know what Valentines you have been making for those special people in your life.

Elements of Style piano
I'm still into the vintage, shabby chic mood so here is the latest card I made for a dear friend. I hope the card made it through the mail okay. It was a little bumpy in the envelope.
The card base is black cardstock. I glued the white pieces (piano keys) to the base of the card. It took me a while to figure out the size of the white keys so to save you some time, if you would like to make a card like this one, they are each 1/2 inch wide and 1 1/2 inches long. The black keys are 3/8 inch wide and I believe 7/8 inch long. I can't remember for sure, but once you get them cut you can probably tell. The words randomly stamped on the vanilla cardstock "Thank God for what you have. Trust God for what you need." are from the Trust God stamp set. Elements of Style stamp set was used for the flowers and I wheeled the banner with the musical notes. A paper doily is between the card and the flowers. It's kind of hard to see. The rose is made from a Spellbinders die and an antique brad in the center, and the other flowers and leaves are just store bought. I'm liking the liquid pearls I bought a long time ago (not Stampin' Up). If you have any questions, just email me.

Vintage Card
I'm feeling vintage, shabby chic so I made this card. What do you think? Did I accomplish the design? I really like the looks of this type of card, but don't find myself making them very often.
Hope you like it!

Sale-a-bration/Spring Catalog newbies!
Here is a card that I made with a few new items I pre-ordered from the Spring catalog (now available for you to order from) and the upcoming Sale-a-bration event starting January 21st.
The heart and banner tag that has the text on it is part of the Hearts A Flutter bundle, the stamp set and corresponding edgelits work so nicely together. The ribbon, designer series paper, square design is a stamp set and corresponding punch are all part of the FREE Sale-a-bration event that is coming up. If you have any questions, just let me know.

Serene Snowflakes
I had just a few minutes to come up with a generic card so I used an old stamp set, Serene Snowflake.
The three squares are 1 1/4 inches each and attached using glue dots. I heat embossed the snowflakes using white embossing powder and then rubbed different colors of blue, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, and Night of Navy over the top, until I liked the look. I took an old cloth and rubbed the ink off the embossed snowflake image and then the white snowflake reappears. It's a neat technique.
