Burwell Shoebox 3

These are the last of the Burwell shoebox cards. This first one is designed by Marilou.
How perfect is this for Easter next week!

And this final card is from Loretta.
I enjoyed the day in Burwell and can't wait until we can get together again.

Burwell Shoebox 2

A couple more shoebox cards that were made at the Burwell stamp club.

This card was provided by Earla. It has an embossed, transparency covering a beautiful glittery paper. The transparency is attached using ribbon.

This card was provided by Pat. The card will fit in one of those small envelopes. Here are the measurements of the different pieces . . .

Front, right flap: white piece is 1 3/4 x 3 in., light purple is 2 x 3 1/4 in., dark purple folded card stock is 2 3/8 x 7 in. folded at 3 1/2 in. The light purple mat on the inside of this purple is 2 x 3 1/4 in.

The left flap dark purple measures 3 x 9 1/4 in. folded at 3 1/4 in. The designer series paper pieces measure 3 x 2 3/4 (front flap), and the inside measures 5 3/4 x 2 3/4 in.

Thanks again, ladies for such neat ideas.

Burwell Shoebox cards

It was my pleasure to be able to demonstrate at the Burwell stamp club a couple weeks ago. Here are the shoebox cards that were available to make following the stamp club cards. I had my daughter, Paige, with me that day so she enjoyed getting to make most of these cards. Thanks ladies for providing such fun projects. I hope it is okay to be sharing them here.

Happy St. Patrick's Day--provided by Nancy
The clovers are two heart punches folded in half and placed back-to-back. Love the dimension.

The next card was provided by Kirsten . . .
Several had to make this card at the Chambers get-together. The dots were made using a pen and a paper-piercing mat. There are no actual pierced holes in the card. Thanks for sharing ladies. More samples tomorrow.

Chalkboard Technique

Okay, one more chalkboard technique card. I believe this will be one of the cards I'll have the ladies make at the Burwell stamp club this Saturday. Hope they like it.
The ladies will have a chance to try the chalkboard technique, if they have never tried it before. The center saying is from one of the Sale-a-bration sets available for free with a $50 purchase. The banner piece is from the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and coordinating framelits. The paper doily is available in the Spring catalog and the butterflies were stamped using the Papillion Potpourri stamp set and punched using the new Bitty Butterfly punch available in the Spring catalog. The elegant eggplant card stock was embossed using the tulip embossing folder.

Chalkboard Technique

Still another chalkboard technique card . . .
and another flower made using the Secret Garden framelits. This card also has the lace border, Delicate Designs embossing folder along the bottom and I used the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits die for the black chalkboard piece.

Chalkboard technique

Here's another chalkboard technique card . . .
I also included a dimensional flower and leaves cut out used the Secret Garden framelits. I did spritz the card with silver shimmer mist to give it a little extra sparkle.

Mini Envelope Album

I still enjoy making the mini albums. I have a lot to learn, but Youtube is full of ideas and I find myself searching way too much. Here's one I put together this weekend.
I decided not to embellish the front cover because the design of the paper was enough for me.  I might still put some kind of title on the mini when I decide what will go inside.
Each page is made from an envelope I made using designer series paper and scoring the envelope using the diagonal scoring board that goes on top of the Scor-Pal. The right side triangle is the flap of the envelope that opens up to a pocket in the inside.
I tried to leave room for lots of pictures and some journaling.
Here's a pocket on the left with cardstock mats for photos and the right has room for journaling and two tags. More pictures could be put behind the decorative design, if you want.
Both of these two envelopes open up. the lace could hold a picture on the front flat too.
Another pocket for photos and the right just flips open. The back page below and back cover are left open for anything. The paper is Stampin' Up designer series paper that I found on the clearance rack. There were added embellishments that coordinate with the DSP so I got those at the same time I purchased the DSP. Hope you enjoyed looking!
