Clear Dollar Stamps Guest Designer Challenge

The main reason I started my blog a few days ago was to be able to post my card creation for the Clear Dollar Stamps Guest Designer Challenge, CDSGDC0709. I follow the web site, Clearly iStamp, and Lori posted the July challenge. You were to design a card using the sketch shown here. There were a few other requirements too. This is my first attempt at any challenge online and hope to do more in the future. When I saw the three circles, they reminded me of Christmas ornaments. This card may be out of season right now, but the way time flies, it will be Christmas before we know it. Each Christmas ornament has crystal effects and dazzling diamond glitter on the top which is to resemble snow and icicles. I added white gel pen to create a snow effect on the pine needles too. I guess we'll have to wait and see how the challenge goes. Thanks for looking!

Inspired by Nature 2

Here's another card using the Inspired by Nature stamp set. It took me a while to figure out the brayer technique for the background, but I think it looks pretty good. I love to look at Michelle Zindorf's work. She has wonderful designs.

When making cards, I like to leave the message off until I need a certain card and then I'll add the message. This card could be used for just about anything, Sympathy, Thinking of You, Thank you, etc.

Inspired by Nature

After visiting with Sara at the dentist's office, we were talking about the Inspired by Nature stamp set and we had both seen a sample card where the set was used with white embossing on designer paper. Here's my version.

Happy Birthday, Jim!

Here is my first blog. A friend of ours is having a birthday today so I needed a masculine card. I used the Big Shot to emboss aluminum foil as the background. Happy Birthday, Jim!
