Simple Birthday Wishes

Here's a simple birthday card using the Mocha designer series paper for the punched butterfly and vanilla cardstock for the other butterfly. The crumbcake center piece is 2 1/2 inches wide and 5 inches long. I wanted something really simple and I as usual didn't have much time to make it so it all worked out. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday card

Last night I had a little time to actually stamp. I probably should have been working on other things, but getting into my craft area was a must. The boys were off on their annual snowmobile trip this past weekend so Paige and I had the weekend to ourselves. We spent two evenings curled up together in a blanket watching chick flicks. What a blast! Back to reality when Monday morning came around.

Anyway, here's the card I put together last night. I saw this card on Internet and switched the flowers and ribbon to what I have. I'm not sure if you can tell, but I put the Smooch Pearlized Illuminate Top Coat over the flowers for a little shine.
Have a great day!

Kindness Matters

Can you handle one more card with the butterflies from Kindness Matters stamp set out of the Sale-a-bration catalog? This set is found in the Idea Book & Catalog too. I used the butterflies on the background of the card. The flowers are various sized circles that I ran through the crimper 4-5 times to break up the fibers and then split the paper. This makes one side kind of fuzzy so it gives the flower a little texture. The rest is pretty self-explanatory. Have a great weekend!

Kindness Matters

I'm really liking this little Kindness Matters set, but I'm kind of partial to butterflies. I've used the designer series paper that is in the Sale-a-bration catalog on both of these cards. I don't usually buy the In-color inks because they will go out in two years, so I found tempting turquoise, real red, and old olive match the papers in the Sale-a-bration catalog really well. Hope you like the cards.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi everyone . . . it's a gorgeous day out and even better since it's Valentine's day. Hope everyone has someone that touches their lives today with love. If not, touch someone else by giving a little something or sending a card. I've been trying to get ideas for the stamp clubs this week. Wednesday I'll be in Chambers and on Saturday, I'm headed to Ainsworth. I've been playing with the Kindness Matters stamp set that is in the Sale-a-bration catalog and is in the Ideas Catalog too. This simple card has the butterflies stamped and filled in using the aqua painters and ink pads. I used the scoring tool to add some dimension along the outside of the card at 1/4 and 1/2 inch marks all around. The butterflies are covered with crystal effects and just a little dazzling diamonds sprinkled over them.
Another simple card using the designer series paper found in the Sale-a-bration catalog. I stamped the butterflies using Real Red (I don't have any of the In Colors) and then used the Labels Framelits die to cut out the image. Using twine to make the bow and adding a tiny tag that says "thanks so much," completed the card. Hope you like these two sample cards.

Burwell stamp club cards

Here are the cards I made at the Burwell stamp club. Thanks, Terri! It is always a lot of fun. The first card is using all Sale-a-bration products. If your order is $50. or more, you can earn a free stamp set, brads and ribbon, or designer series paper. This promotion goes on until the end of March.
Another simple, but elegant card. The center design, text and the small butterfly in the center of the text is all part of a Sale-a-bration stamp set (pg. 15 of the Sale-a-bration catalog) that can be earned for free too. The edgelit die that made the scallop edge can be found in the Occasions mini catalog. You get two different designs in the Adorning Accents (pg. 7 Occasions mini catalog). This will be part of my next purchase.
If you ever have any questions, just send me and email. Have a great day!

FAMILY frame project in Burwell

It was so much fun getting together with the ladies in Burwell over the weekend to make the FAMILY frame project. I'm glad the weather managed to clear up and made it possible. It seemed like everyone was happy with their final project so that is what matters. Terri had a couple cute cards that we all made so the day was prosperous. I haven't taken pictures of the cards, but I will and post them for you to see. I did do some stamping during the Super Bowl. Not a big pro football fan so I messed in my craft area for the most part. I did take a break to watch the half time performance. Here's a couple cards I made using the Apothecary stamp set and the framelits that are found in the Occasions mini. This white on white card is a very strong possibility for one of the cards we'll be making for February stamp club. There's a little dazzling details in the centers of the flowers which really adds to it.

Have a great Monday! It will be a long day with parent-teacher conferences this evening until 8:00 p.m. Probably won't have much time for stamping this evening.  : (

Grand Cowboys mini album

I added rustic tin hearts to the front.  The text was drawn on using a stencil and then covered with Crystal Effects for dimension. Each page has a pull out tab and tag. You can add journaling or pictures.

It was a lot easier to do a girl book than a boy book. So the cowboy one is pretty simple. This little mini came together pretty fast. I do like the Bind-It-All that I bought around Christmas time. Hope you like it.
