Celebrate with the Jar of Love

Happy 4th of July to all of you!
God Bless American!

Hope you can celebrate the holiday with family and friends!

The background of the card is using watercolor paper and Dapper Denim ink in an attempt to create a night sky. The jars are grounded on a 1 1/4" piece of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper (pg. 187 AC). The three jars from the Jar of Love stamp set (pg. 29 AC) were stamped on a piece of whisper white, Dapper Denim, and Real Red card stock and cut from the coordinating dies, Everyday Jars Framelits (pg. 213 AC). I punched a star from a piece of window sheet and used it as a stencil to add the white (pg 200 Whisper White pigment ink AC) stars on the red and blue jars. The lightning bugs were stamped on the white jar and the card background and with a dauber of Daffodil Delight added to represent the light. The wire on the white jar was stamped and cut using the coordinating die. I sponged a little Dapper Denim ink on the white jar so it would look like the background was coming through it, but also left some white area because of the glow from the lightning bugs. I used white embossing (pg. 201 AC) on the sprigs coming out of the jars and the Celebrate (retired Hostess set Something to Celebrate) sentiment.
Thanks for visiting my blog!
